How to Properly Clean Dentures & Partial Dentures

Never use toothpaste on dentures or partial dentures!

Toothpaste is too abrasive and will ruin the fit on the inside of the dentures or partial dentures.

There are different types of denture cleaners at any drugstore. There are pills to soak the items or special paste for dentures only or even plain water is OK.

This also applies to Night Guards and any other oral appliances that are made of plastic.

Partial denture wearers must still use regular fluoridated toothpaste on their natural teeth.

Especially clean the areas that touch the partial denture, because that is an area that builds extra plaque. Be sure to floss your teeth before you brush, then the fluoride will coat the teeth, which inhibits plaque formation.
